In 2010-2011, as a UX Design Lead I participated in the design of the new illico TV terminal experience. The Yu Centrik usability specialists team, which I was part of, reviewed the entire user scenarios, conducted user tests and quality assurance sessions.
I was assigned a couple of module to design, document and tests. As a lead, I would work with a junior designer that would help writing the functional specs for the engineers. The developer was a Korean team and we shared and worked with them via Sharepoint and Jira.
Some of the module I designed include the onscreen keyboard, the player’s control, the Pay Per View section, PVR conflict resolving, the settings, parental control, the widgets such as the weather forecast and some interactive live voting functions for some TV programs.
